Rennicker pleas in robbery case

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Several pleas were heard Friday in Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Judge John M. Solovan II presided.

Brock A. Rennicker, 28, incarcerated, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of complicity in aggravated robbery by aiding or abetting, a felony of the first degree occurring May 25, 2012. The specification for branding a firearm was removed. This would have resulted in three additional years.

Sentencing was set for May 25. A pre-sentencing investigation and victim impact statement were ordered. He faces a maximum of 11 years.

He and his brother, Chad Rennicker, were accused of robbing the Colerain PNC Bank.

Trenton Michael Patrick Smith 20, 57539 48th St., Bellaire, was granted judicial release. He will continue his jail sentence until space is available at EOCC, where he will serve six months. He will then be under community control sanction for five years. He had earlier been terminated from EOCC. He was convicted of endangering children, a felony of the third degree, occurring Dec. 12, 2010.

Dustin Michael Freeman, 25, 68017 Walnut St., Bridgeport, saw the revocation of his bond He pleaded guilty and to preparing less than 200 grams of marijuana for shipment, a felony of the fifth degree occurring Oct. 3, 2012. Sentencing was set for Feb. 1. A pre-sentence investigation, EOCC evaluation and victim impact statement were ordered.

Jessie Ryan Johnson, 205 South St., Martins Ferry, entered a dispositive plea of guilty on one count burglary, a felony of the third degree, and one count receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth degree, occurring Jan. 15, 2012. Sentencing was set for Feb. 15. A pre-sentence investigation, victim impact statement and EOCC evaluation were ordered.
