Today’s Woman publishes Sunday

The Times Leader’s annual publication honoring women, Today’s Woman, hits the newsstands Sunday.

The 20-page, full-color publication features stories on area women, as well as various issues and topics tailored to a woman’s perspective.

This edition, the local stories explored areas local woman are able to donate their time and energy in order to better their communities.

Women today are professionals.

They are also parents.

They put in numerous hours on the job before returning home to put on their mom hats and continue their work day, well into the evening hours.

Still, today’s woman finds time to help out others.

They volunteer their time.

They make a difference.

Today’s Woman will look at the ladies of the Monroe Central Football Moms, who go above and beyond the call of duty in working to support their sons on the football field.

It examines the work of the staff at Crittenton Services Inc. and how they work to transform the lives of shattered and broken young girls who still have an opportunity to make something of themselves if only given a chance.

Organizations like local church groups and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary are also examined.

Woman also have increasing buying power when it comes to cars and that, along with the Top 13 cars for women, are looked at.

Skin care and dressing for the business world on a budget are also touched upon.

The special section also features stories that women will find beneficial including health, fashions, home cleaning hints and financial advice.
