EGCC hosting computer clinic
STEUBENVILLE – A free computer clinic will be offered by Eastern Gateway Community College’s student IT Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 13. No appointment is necessary.
Area residents and college students and employees may bring in their computers and software for trouble-shooting and repairs. The work will be performed for free, but donations to the group will be accepted.
If a computer takes forever to boot up, is slow and unresponsive, needs upgrades or repairs or requires a tune-up for the hard drive, plan to attend this event. The computer students in the IT Club will help uncover problems, as they specialize in diagnosis and repair of both hardware and software problems. All students are trained and will be supervised by Bobbie Parnicza, assistant professor.
College personnel will be available to answer questions about Eastern Gateway’s Information Technology program during the event in Founders Hall on the Jefferson County campus.
The group will hold a 50/50 drawing to support its activities.
For information, contact Parnicza at (740) 264-5591, extension 151; (800) 68-COLLEGE, extension 151; or online at ITClub@student.egcc.edu
