Prep Volleyball Roundup: River, Beallsville prevail in 5 games

River needed five games and two extra points before being able to close out Magnolia Monday evening.

The Lady Pilots prevailed by scores of 25-14, 7-25, 14-25, 25-23 and 17-15.

Jensen Caretti had 16 points, 17 kills, two aces and six blocks. Monica Curtis donated 13 points, 23 assists, two aces and four blocks.

Brielle Williams added 12 digs, seven points and four kills. Amanda Bennett had 15 points, two kills and an ace. Mackenzie Marshall donated 21 points and had three aces.

Mackenzie Wade had eight points and seven digs. Mikayla Cieszeski had seven kills. Brissa Marshall added five digs.

Beallsville tops Paden City in five

Beallsville recorded its sixth win of the season in five games Monday evening as it dispatched Paden City, 20-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17 and 15-6.

Laikyn Tubaugh led the way on senior night with 18 points, 17 kills, nine aces, four blocks and 12 digs. Morgan Marley added 20 assists, six points, six digs, four blocks, two kills and two aces. Senior Shania Phillips had 14 kills, 10 blocks, eight digs and two points. Senior Meagen Atkinson added 12 digs, two blocks and two kills. Ella Campbell posted 10 kills, 15 points, 10 blocks, 14 digs and five aces.

Beallsville visits Frontier on Thursday.

Lady Bulldogs upend Linsly in 4

Bridgeport needed four games, but it got past Linsly by scores of 25-23, 25-20, 24-26 and 25-14 on senior night.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Briana Massey’s 16 points, three aces, six digs and five kills. Cheyenne Flowers had 11 points, three aces, 15 digs and 11 kills. Alysa Crook donated seven points, eight digs and 35 assists.

Amber Millard added 24 digs, seven points and seven kills. Maclaine Murad netted three points, 20 digs and 13 kills. Hannah Lewis had 11 digs. Ali Baker added three kills and three digs.

East Richland Christian falls

East Richland Christian dropped a four-game match to Carroll County Christian Monday evening by scores of 25-15, 25-13, 24-26 and 25-15.

Susanna Yourko had eight aces, 24 sets, 10 points and two kills. Rebekah Mitchell had five digs, three points and a kill. Alyssa Crowley added four digs, three sets, five kills, two blocks and nine points.
