OUE women now 11-1

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Ohio University Eastern women’s basketball team pushed its win streak to four as the Panthers took down invading Kent State Tuscarawas Sunday afternoon, 83-63.

The game remained tight throughout the first 10 minutes until Alexus Davis recorded two straight steals and layups that pushed the lead into double digits. A late layup by Jaclyn Johnson took the lead to 45-39 going into the half.

The second half was a collective effort by the Panthers, as all eight players produced points. Alex Kuhn led the Panthers with 17 points. Kelsey Holloway and Johnson chipped in 14 and 12, respectively. Davis reeked havoc all over the court, recording 11 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Lakyn Ramsay finished with 10 points.

The Lady Panthers (11-1) are back in action at home Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. against Miami University Hamilton.
