HOLLINGSWORTH, Helen L., 94, of Luthersburg, PA, formerly of Flushing, Ohio, died Monday, January 27, 2014.

She was born on September 23, 1919 in Bannock, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel David Jordan and Emma Clara Millward Jordan.

Helen was a retired clerk from McNeal’s Dry Goods and a former employee of Hillandale Farms both in Flushing. She was a member of the Flushing Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She was an avid reader, loved flowers, crocheting, watching the Food Channel and spending time with family and watching her grandchildren grow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “William” Hollingsworth; seven brothers, George, David, John, Charles, Donald, Paul and Alan; four sisters, Emma, Lucy, Martha and Mary; a granddaughter, Tammy Sue McHenry and a great- granddaughter, Kelly Sue Williams.

Surviving are her children, William “Keith” (Connie) Hollingsworth of Sanford, FL, Alice (Paul) Mercer of Holloway, OH and Doris (Dale) Attinger of Luthersburg, PA; five grandchildren, P.J. Mercer of Cadiz, OH, Denise (David) Gray of Bethesda, OH, Michele (Dan) Williams of Flushing, OH, Brian Mercer of Flushing, OH and Billy Joe (Teresa) Hollingsworth of Carmel, IN; 12 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, with visitation again Monday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
