Dear Editor,

Some of the recent political cartoons, letters and columns in the Times Leader which bear no semblance to reality can best be described as the French poet Baudelaire once wrote, “the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world he didn’t exist”; the greatest trick the plutocrats ever pulled was to convince working people they cared about the working classes best interests.

And to paraphrase Santayana, those who fail to learn from history are condemned to vote Republican.
